Booking a session, step by step
Find your coach
Browse coaches by subject, exam and city. Read their profile, watch their showcase videos and message them in the app. Browsing, Q&A and messaging are free.
Request a slot
Pick a time from the coach's availability and tap Request. The coach accepts it.
Pay in the app
Pay by UPI or card. The slot stays open to other learners until someone pays, so pay soon after it's accepted. Your first session with a new coach is at least ₹299.
Join and learn
A Join button appears on the booking shortly before the start. Online sessions open in a private video room inside Mentodec. For in-person sessions you see only the area before paying; the exact address is shared once payment is confirmed.
The coach gets paid
The coach is paid only after the session is complete and the 72-hour window to raise a problem has passed.

Every payment is held by Mentodec (escrow) and released to the coach only after the session and the 72-hour window.
Raise a problem
Something wrong? Open the booking and tap Raise dispute within 72 hours. The payment stays frozen while our team looks into it.
Coach didn't show up?
We see it from the call attendance and refund you in full, automatically.
Keep it in the app
Contact details unlock after your first completed paid session. Messages with phone numbers or requests to pay outside the app are blocked, because paying inside Mentodec is what protects you.
Cancelling a session
The earlier you cancel, the more comes back. If the coach cancels, you get everything back.

The small learner fee isn't refunded on a late cancellation.
Longer courses, paid in 5 parts
A coach can offer you a complete course, for example a whole chapter set or a full exam preparation. Instead of paying everything up front, you pay in five equal parts of 20%.
Pay as you go
You pay the next part only after the previous part's sessions are done.
Missed sessions refunded
Any session the coach misses is always refunded.
Weekly sessions and group classes
Same time every week
After a paid session, your coach can set up a weekly slot. Each week's session appears in your bookings two weeks ahead and you pay for it like a normal booking. Either of you can stop it any time.
Group sessions
Coaches and institutes run group sessions with seats. Book a seat and pay in the app. Cancel 24 hours or more before and the seat price is refunded.
Students under 18
School students join through a parent or guardian. The parent signs up, adds the child and books and pays for them. Children aged 13 and over can also get their own login, linked to and switched on by the parent's account. The parent can read the child's chats and pause the login at any time.
For coaches
Get paid weekly
After a session and its 72-hour window, your earning (fee minus commission) joins the weekly payout to your bank or UPI.
Bring your own students
Share your invite code. Students who join with it pay no learner fee, and you pay no commission on their sessions, only a small processing fee.
Offer a course
From a chat, tap Offer a course, set the fee, duration and sessions. The learner pays in 5 parts of 20%.
Show up
A missed session is refunded to the learner. Missing 3 sessions within 30 days hides your profile from search for 7 days.
